Social policy, systems research, and public health are interconnected fields that use interdisciplinary approaches to examine the multifaceted effects of structural determinants on health outcomes and broader societal contexts, particularly in response to contemporary social challenges. The Institute for Social Policy and Systems Research (ISPSR), established in 2025, combines scientific rigor, practical experience, and adaptive innovation to advance progress within these fields.

WHAT WE DO
ISPSR collaborates with entities from public health, academia, faith-based organizations, healthcare, corporate sectors, government agencies, nonprofits, and other change-driven groups to address a broad spectrum of inquiries. By leveraging these strategic partnerships, we support our collaborators in enhancing operational efficiency, achieving objectives more effectively, and amplifying their positive impact within the communities they serve.
HOW WE DO IT
ISPSR conducts comprehensive evaluations of multilevel structural determinants—including policies, institutional practices, and community resources—employing both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies as well as community-based participatory approaches.
Our aim is to systematically analyze how these structural determinants contribute to and sustain health and social inequities. From our research findings, we identify actionable strategies to develop innovative solutions.
Our Goals
ISPSR addresses health and social inequities by developing effective strategies, supporting evidence-based policies, and improving public health services through education, advocacy, and research.
